Normally I'd be suspicious as well, but this was an impulse buy. No chance to check Amazon prior.

My NC is sitting in it right now, and it feels quite solid. I don't have the Arkon stand to compare, but I have no complaints about the 3feet. One finger swipes to turn the page, and poke on the screen to click links, don't seem to bother it at all.

I've found my flip case pretty versatile as a stand. Most of the time my NC is standing right next to my PC, and is plenty steady for all my pokey-swipey needs. Being attached and slightly floppy, it's also suitable for propping up on my chest on my pillow-tray, either portrait for reading or landscape for videos and browsing. And, of course, I can just pick it up without any significant unmounting or other adjustments.

If anything, I would pick up one of those spider mounts for hanging the thing from car seats and such.
