This is not correct. Amazon is not being sloppy; Amazon is specifically permitting you to purchase ebooks while traveling abroad (as long as you don't live abroad). http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...eId=200375590&

I don't know whether they are *allowed* to do so, but they clearly state that you can do it, and they explain how.

I think I can purchase from my Droid and move the file that way. I know i can directly download the purchases to my Droid, and theoretically I should be able to zap it over to my Nook via cord or through a public PC. You dont have to have any special software to download and transfer from the site, so there is no reason why, if you had your USB cord you couldn't do it from a net cafe or library PC.
