I have The Hot Zone in paperback. I think I picked it up fro a charity shop for peanuts. Might have to pick it up at some point.

Although it's been covered, I too am a fan of Tess Gerritsen.

How about Robin Cook? I remember my mum reading his books in the 80s. I think I have a paperback copy of Coma in the paper reading mountain.
He has some books in the Kindle store.

ETA: I see you already mentioned Robin Cook. I assure you I can read!
I think some of the Kindle ones may be newer books?

Robin Cook is indeed the "King of the medical thriller"; he's written dozens of them. I've never read any of them, so I've no idea whether or not they're any good.
