EDIT: Or not...rebooted 3 times, 3rd time was a charm. |

Is it possible that you were too impatient? The first boot of a completely new system takes quite a bit of time since the Dalvik cache must be completely rebuilt from scratch. If you power off before that is finished on the first boot, it is just going to have to do it again the next time.

Okay, going back to stock, this is not for me. Can't get my books to look right in the Android readers, hell, I even got a low memory after trying to get a stupid book cover in Moon+ and Aldiko, which didn't work by the way. Everything worked fine stock.
I'll wait for an Autonooter for the new firmware to work WITH the stock B&N Reader. |

Hmmm, from your initial description of your installation problems and then your description of your experience after installation it sounds like your installation was doomed to failure from the start due to some error along the way. ![]() Until now, I can't recall reading of anyone who has tried CM7 and not preferring it over B&N stock. I'll not go back. ![]() |

Well my big thing is that my eBooks are not showing up right in the eReaders, about 50% have no covers, even though there is a jpg file in the folder, and I can't change the cover in either Aldiko, or Moon+ Reader.
So until an Autonooter comes along, I'm stock all the way. |

I wonder if converting epinions to republic will fix that. If so then I may go back. I'll try it tonight

I have no idea what I typed there, my stupid phone must have auto spelled me LOL.
Re-converting the books that had cover issues from ePub to ePub seemed to have solved the problem. |

I can't stay connected to my wifi with the CM7. It is there for less than a minute then is disabled. I am typing from my laptop, so my wifi isn't the issue and signal strength is excellent. I re-wrote the card and did everything all over, but I still have this issue. I am using the 7.0.2 if that helps.
Edit to add: I reformatted the card with SDFormatter and did the process over again from scratch. I still can't get my wifi to stay connected. This is driving me nuts. I can't do anything if I don't have wifi. Last edited by Care; 04-28-2011 at 10:50 AM. |

I have a similar, but different, WiFi strangeness that occurred when I updated from 7.0.0 to 7.0.2 . When I turn WiFi on it usually turns on/off a couple of times before it comes on and stays on. It is really no big deal to me, so I have not tried to debug it, but I thought it might help to add another data point to this thread?

![]() I normally use a WiFi widget to turn WiFi on, and sometimes the WiFi button that pops up from the home screen status bar. Both of those methods exhibit the on/off behavior that eventually turns WiFi on. If I turn on WiFi using SETTINGS/WIRELESS & NETWORKS/Wi-Fi then WiFi seems to turn on fine first time every time. Again, this only started happening after upgrading from 7.0.0 to 7.0.2 |

Has anyone been trying the nightly versions of CM7? I understand they include bug fixes. My question is whether upgrading, say weekly, to a newer CM7 version will put me back at square one with just a new install and all my apps and data gone?
