That implies you won't get asked. I just unchecked that option and backed up an install version of 1.41. Should keep me covered.

While the option is worded that way, I still always got a prompt asking me if I wanted to install the update... in the past, anyway. But I agree, why take any chances when you can uncheck the option?

This is one cryptic thread...

They seem to have added proxy support, which means that I'll finally be able to access my Kindle technical books from work. If this one works through our proxy, that is. Will know on Tuesday.

It is a mobileread policy that detailed discussion of how to use DRM removal/circumvention tools is not permitted. Nor are direct links to places where such tools and advice can be obtained.

I believe I am allowed to say that if you are interested in removing DRM from your purchase ebooks, Apprentice Alf might be able to help you out if you can find his blog.

K4PC 1.50 breaks the DRM removing tools so stick with 1.4.1 or earlier.

Thank you, doesn't affect me but it's nice to know what is going on, thought there was a serious problem there for second.
