On the DVD thing, when they first came out, they would still include trailers for other movies, but they were optional. You hit the special features menu, and they had them listed there. You know, I played them more often, and paid more attention then, than on my newer disks that force you to sit through them. Now that they're forced when you insert the disk, I simply walk away and get my snacks ready.

I wasn't blaming; I'm just not surprised.

Do any of you remember this commercial?

Rockapella Folger's Commercial

I heard this in the mid-nineties and kept saying, I need to look those guys up. I wonder if they had an album. I never did, but a few years later, Napster came out and when I was searching for stuff, I remembered that I always wanted to see if they had an album. They did, they had at least 5 albums. I downloaded all of them. Remember on Napster you can chat w/ the person that you're downloading from so I got IMed from the woman I was downloading from and she said to check out her sisters folder, she has even more of their songs.

The woman and I would chat whenever we saw each other online. Rockapella was coming to my area and I told her that I bought a ticket for one show. She suggested I buy tickets for both shows. I did, and I'm so glad.

I ended up being one of their many "groupies" going to all of their shows when they were in town, which was quite a bit since all but one lived in the NYC area. At every show I would buy a new album, and have it signed, until I had them all. I told them about how I had first heard them and how I Napstered their music. They said that they loved Napster and since Napster started, their audience and sales have been going through the roof. It was one of the best things to happen to them.

That was years ago, and some of the singers have changed, but I became and am still good friends with one of the singers, all thanks to Napster.
