The thing I find most amusing about Clint Eastwood is that he is now though of as having started in Westerns, he actually worked for 2 years before his first Western, he worked on a few SciFi movies before his initial break that started his career moving forward in 1958 when he started a role on Rawhide, a CBS hour long western series. Eastwood was not really happy with the role because he felt to old to play the character. After Rawhide Eastwood went on to play in "A Fistful of Dollars" the first of many "Spaghetti Westerns" and developed his trademark "Man with no Name" look. Eastwood has been involved with over 50 movies. Ok I like Eastwood, what can I say? ![]() |

Eastwood's breadth of talent is far wider and deeper than Wayne's. Not only is he an excellent actor but he is also an excellent director and composer.

I voted for Clint Eastwood mainly because I find Eastwood's movies more enjoyable than John Wayne's (although I do enjoy his movies too). Also, I agree with others that Eastwood is able to play a wider range of characters than John Wayne.
As an example, in a proposed live-action "Batman Beyond" movie, Eastwood has been mentioned as a possible Bruce Wayne (who is in is 70s and is an advisor/trainer to the new Batman). Eastwood has the range to play the role, and I think it would be perfect for him. |

Clint Eastwood for me because he won tremendous awards for his role on the film that he did before when he was on his prime age.

Clint, of course. What other talented thespian would play straight man to the Librarian from Unseen University?
Ook. Enough said. |
