Yeah but they also seem to sell only the cheapest and trashiest junk... They don't have most of the kind of stuff I look for...

Actually I have bought some solar powered 'goodies'from them and haven't had any trouble with them at all.

Well I never said everything of theirs has to break, but I looked at their solar goodies among other things and wasn't very impressed. I chose a solar charger from USBGeek.
The point is they sell the cheapest of the cheap (therefore the shipping costs), which is sometimes usefull but sometimes you want quality or features instead of savings.
And anyway I first decide what I want to buy (the optimal model and maker for a type of gadget) and than where I want to buy it - by searching Google shopping, Amazon and eBay (all 3 for US and UK) and then choose the cheapest option with worldwide shipping.

P.S.
Share your practical solar experience please - what's the solar power rating (W) of your charger, the battery capacity (mWh), the size roughly, what you charge with it and how long it takes to charge on a sunny or on a cloudy day.
