Okay, good. It's now three days since the last time I fully charged my Kobo, and the battery indicator still looks to be at 100%. I havent added any books to the Kobo in the last three days, and haven't turned on the wifi at all.

I get about the same. Which is fine, but its annoying to power up every morning on the train. So I use sleep mode and charge it every 10 days or so.

Hello DigiSara

I have the same problem. Since loading 1.9 on my Kobo, the battery drains much faster. This time it drained in one week, and I have used it only once for about 15 minutes during that week! It used to last about 2 weeks of intensive use: turn on - read a while - turn off several times a day. I am a bit worried about the draining of the battery. The Wifi is off unless I am uploading a book.

Be sure your newspaper subscriptions is disabled. That will drain the battery.

I tend to get about 3 weeks or so out of my Kobo..which isn't bad considering I read just about every night. Like others said, the Wi-Fi tends to suck the battery quickly, so I rarely use it.

this has changed since I downloaded the upgrade. Now my battery dies in less than a week in sleep mode (wifi is off, since I can never get a signal anyway. Haha). Started using power off every time now.

Are you sure you've got newspaper subscriptions turned off? Even if WI-FI is turned off your Kobo will still wake up every so often if newspaper subscriptions are turned on.

Then there's certainly something wrong, because a 3 second hold on the power button shuts the Kobo reader off.

Hi guys... I bought my second Kobo less than 2 weeks ago and I've had to charge the battery 3 or 4 times. I do have 3 newspaper subscriptions. Is this why it's losing the charge so quickly? I get, probably, 100 pages read and then have to recharge. I was about to exchange it at Chapters. Can someone tell me if it seems I should return it or if I'm just using it incorrectly? Even after it's fully charged, if I connect it up again 5 minutes later, the red light shows and it's charging already.

I can see from reading your posts that I should be powering it off at night. I've been leaving it sleeping since I'm used to the old Kobo without WiFi. I don't know how to turn WiFi off! I think I liked the old one better. Thanks for any help..
