I went from a 6" Sony to a 9.7" DXG for no more reason than that.

So far the only time I've wished for a physically smaller reader has been on a plane because of the restricted space.

I do read SQL/Computer books and the DXG (now iPad too) are the only ereaders that work. My Kindle 3 just cut the lines off and changes the formatting, it is hard to read.

Is nice if you read poetry as well ...

Nice choice, is exactly what I did. Did you buy GoodReader? I highly recommend you that app for PDF documents.
