Yes, indeed. Now would you please care to share some of what you call "reputable warez sites" and explain to me why they are considered 'reputable' and by whom?! What kind of expertise do the folks which host these 'reputable warez sites" even have to establish that a non-free closed sourced proprietary application is does not have a nasty payload?
Sorry if I sound totally obtuse, but I come from a computer culture in which each file is identified by an MD5 hash (even when downloaded from a *truly* reputable repository!) and to me the very concept of "reputable warez site" is beyond bizarre. Add to this that a lot of Android applications are non-free closed sourced or "adware" and you might get a sense of my frustration and, frankly, disappointment with the Android world. ![]() |

I was actually joking. There's no such thing as a reputable warez site: you can find malware in any of them. However, there are some sites, which I'm not at liberty to discuss here (private messages would be a better place) which have become actually famous because the apps they distribute work. Anyways, Android is not as open as many of us would like it to be
