It was just he factory warranty. I bought it from bestbuy the day it was available in Nov of 2010 and it broke last month. Called them up and said they would replace it, they just asked for my serial #. I am not sure how it works for you because you are outside of the US but they still should not make you pay for the repair.

Does anyone know any email address to kinda manager in Laredo, or someone reasonable there?
The history of my repair is like an horror. Right know, I received 2 emails - one stating that my reader has been repaired for free and sent back, the other one stating that they unfortunately couldn't contact me in order to check the card number and charge with repair fee, so they sent it back not repaired. Considering, that I called them several times, giving each time this damn number and approving the repair costs, I'm really angry now
