I know what you mean regarding the weight of the Nook Color. I have very limited dexterity due to nerve damage and the weight is a big problem with me. I attached a zip tie to the loop in the case of the Nook Color which makes picking it up a lot easier. I used the B&N Industriell Cover for a week or so and while it's a great cover, it wasn't right for me for use on the Nook Color. I also have an Industriell cover on my first Nook and its still holding strong after a year of use. The no slip material on the Industriell covers is quite helpful and it's a well constructed cover but I want something that offers more protection as I'm afraid of dropping the Nook Color due to the weight. So after a lot of research, I bought the M-Edge Latitude shown here http://www.medgestore.com/products/n...p?device=nook2 which I first learned about on these forms. It was very expensive but I just got it today and I'm very pleased with it, it's very well constructed and offers a lot of protection. It's only downside is it has a slippery nylon covering rather than the no slip material found on the Industriell covers.

I hope this helps!

I use the Lautner cover, which is light and non-slip, and the cover folds easily all the way back and stays because of the magnetic clasp. The B&N Nook specialist said it was his favorite, and I concur.

It looks good, but the link goes to one that's just for the EInk Nook.

Have you had any problems getting your NC in there securely?

That's the one I ordered initially, but now I have the Industriell coming as well so I can compare the two. Glad to hear you like it

Sorry, yes, that's the eInk Lautner. This is the one I'm using:

Lautner for Nook Color

It's very secure. The Nook is, if anything, a little hard to take out. The plastic clip system holds it solidly in place.

My mom got me the Da Vinci http://gifts.barnesandnoble.com/Da-V...da+vinci+cover which was a complete monstrosity and definitely not something I wanted to be taking to bed at night. I decided I didn't really want a bulky cover when I was reading, so I don't use a cover. Instead, I just got a neoprene sleeve http://gifts.barnesandnoble.com/Neop...eoprene+sleeve for carrying it around in. I'm in the Army, so I wanted something that would keep dust and water out, be able to take a bit of a beating, and is able to fit in a cargo pocket.

I received the Montgomery Cover I ordered.
Nothing fancy and looks like a Moleskine. I really like it so far, but I wish it was available in dark brown. I chose this over the Industriell and Lautner because I wanted to avoid magnets.

Thanks again for sharing your opinions on covers. I've decided to go with the Industriel in storm. I do like keeping a cleaning cloth with my N C, so I'm keeping it behind the unit. I just pop it out to access the cloth and then store it back behind when I'm done. Works great

I just got a sleeve at B&N, and am happy with it for storage. I also prefer to read with my NC "naked". I do okay with the weight, but I had a problem with the weight of my iPad, and I used a device that may be helpful. It's called a Peeramid, I got mine from Amazon.com, but they may be available locally. It is basically a small fabric pyramid stuffed to make it firm and self-supporting, that has a built-in little ridge all around the base. You set the Peeramid in your lap, and rest your iPad (or NC, or heavy DTB) on the ledge and it is tilted at an angle that is pretty good for reading. With the ledge supporting most of the weight, it is easy to support the tablet at a different angle if you prefer. Here's the link:

http://www.amazon.com/Hog-Wild-Peera...9991548&sr=8-1

The little tassel came off of mine after a few months, but I don't miss it!

My Industriell Easel cover is very useful for DIY or how-to books.
