JSWolf,

I hate to say this, but I have to.

Have you read the batch file? if it asks for a drive letter, the automated process has already failed to find the reader. while I don't mind being "kidded" a bit, don't assume I don't know my way around a console.

my prs650 can no longer detect word documents after I after executed flash_reader.bat and the double rebooting...

Neither will mine, but I'm certain it never did.

Sony doesn't have native support for .doc or .docx -- they have conversion support. The reader library app will automatically convert a .doc to .rtf, which the Sony readers will support natively.

I haven't had any trouble with .rtf files, before or after the reflash. Boroda does have an FAQ about .rtf problems if there was a picture on the first page, but the symptom was a perpetual reboot.
