edem - the day they "opened" i purchased a book before realizing it didnt allow for downloads on that title. i sent an email and had a refund within 48hrs.

OK, so Google got back to me pretty quickly. They said that they were aware of the problem, but weren't sure how long it would take to fix (or if they could fix it) and offered me a refund. The refund process was fast and painless.
