I see. I'm sure there are many ways to get hurt by a book; even killed. I don't doubt that.

I wonder which is the most classic way to get killed by a book/s? I'll beat my money on em' big nasty bookself fuld for heavy books.

Edit:

Come to think about it, it's probably more likely to be books used as weapons.

The kindle itself isn't fragile. It's just plastic. It's the screen. There's a brittle layer somewhere that cracks when you apply pressure in just the right way.

I see no physical sign of damage like a crack. Nothing is loose. But the screen is all messed up.

Ironically, I dropped it on a tile floor back in Xmas. Nice dent on the plastic at the top, but it was fine and dandy.

Interestingly, the eink site shows flexible eink display and touts it as "rugged".

Years ago, I was attempting to do a handstand in my apartment, but my arms gave out and I did a faceplant into my phonebook which was nearby.

I tried it again, and the same thing happened, only I also became lightheaded so I didn't try it anymore.

That was probably a good idea, mate, heh. I'm sorry, but it just made me chukkle a bit. I just couldn't help imagined you doing it couple of extra times after you actually did stop.
