Do you think Borders will honor my order?
I once ordered a 12 month magazine subscription online and a month later the magazine company went into receivership. I rang my credit card company and explained the situation and after I had presented proof to them that the magazine company had gone bust they refunded me the unused portion of the subscription. I'm in New Zealand and the magazine company was in the UK, the credit card company didn't seem to care about any receivership laws.

First time on this site and haven't scanned all the messages and perhaps this has been expressed before. I have a major concern (and several other concerns) with KOBO e-reader. Perhaps it is a feature of other e-readers as well. The problem - NO PHOTOS! NO MAPS, NO DRAWINGS, NO GRAPHICS! What I find truly amazing is nobody seems to be bothered by this! Buying an ebook is like buying a book with several pages ripped out. And yet I see customers (suckers?) cheering the manufacturers on. Text is fine if the original is text-only text. But when I purchase a book where the photos are torn out, I think the emporer is walking around with his a$$ hanging out.

If you don't see photos, maps, drawings and graphics, then they're not included in the book you're reading because the Kobo displays them fine.

The initial firmware releases on the non WiFi Kobo did not support graphics in Kobo format books. Current firmware levels support graphics in both Kobo and ADE format.

At times however it is the book PUBLISHER who does not include images, NOT the book SELLER.
