Ok, I installed the nook app in Linux using wine, and when I re-downloaded the books that were in pdb format, they can down as ePubs.
I was then able to decrypt them. I will not explain how to decrypt or where to get the files. Google can do that for you. But I will say, when a B&N ePub is decrypted you get left with an ePub. When a B&N pdb eReader is decrypted, you get left with an HTML you that have to wrap into something to dump on your nook. And it seems that the ePubs are encrypted with a hash of the credit card number and the name on the credit card. So unless you either know python really well, or have a way to run the script with no internet access, you might run the risk of your credit card number being transmitted somewhere you don't like. |
