I will always prefer the pbook. It's just not an economical model. E-ink devices allow me to read more books for less money, to conserve my storage space and to carry many books with me on longer trips.

E-ink definitely. The only time I prefer LCD is when reading in the dark.

I prefer LCD as I like to read at night with the lights off or on low. Also with LCD I'm lucky in that I get no eyestrain whatsoever.

I prefer e-ink. My eyes hurt with LCDs, even in no light conditions. And pbooks are heavy and voluminous. This reader is the best thing I ever bought.

I find it annoying you put pbook and other together. So, no vote from me.
It's other. It depends on my situation: is it dark, am I outside, am I at home, or away... |

No question, me likey the e-ink.
And on the rare occasions when I want to do something in the dark other than sleep or 'other', the light on my Kindle's lighted cover works just fine :-D |

I like e-ink. I stare at LCDs for the rest of the day, and by the time I'm done my eyeballs are drier than the Sahara desert.
I've got a lightwedge cover on my 505 for reading in the dark; it's just as easy on the eyes. |

I agree! I am currently reading the hardback version of Bill Bryson's 'Home Life' which is great, but a 'heavy' read! But as the ebook was £18 I had the book for Xmas at £9.99.

eInk
I got a reader mostly to preserve storage space, but then found reading on it way more pleasant than reading a paper book, because I did not have to keep the reader from flapping shut. And the display is always flat and I can look at it straight-on, while book pages will be curved and I'll have to look at them sideways sometimes, because if I don't want to risk breaking the spine of a paperback I can't open it fully. Comparing with reading on my computer screen, I get the impression the "eInk is easier on the eyes" bit is true. |

I dunno, I have a Jetbook and a K3 so both e-ink or TFT which wasn't really up there, so I couldn't vote. I love reading on both of them... wayyy over pbooks, is that answer ok?Besides, I get so into a story sometimes, all I can see is the ebook screen, so it's blissful as long as my arm is ok.

Paper, actually, for visuals. E-ink is nice but you get better contrast black on white (paper) than black on light gray (e-ink). There are other benefits to the e-reader that you don't get with paper, like portability, ease of book acquisition, one-handed operation, etc.

E-ink. I wouldn't have thought I like it as much as I do, but here it is: absolute love. I even buy the pbooks from my TBR as ebooks now.
