A HUGE THANK YOU for all the tips generated after my enquiry. I have saved this info and checked out Amazon and had no trouble getting some of the missing covers. I will now go back through my entire database (on an ongoing basis as there are now more than 4000 entries) and fix up the blanks. I appreciate the comments made and am so grateful for this program and the help received when making an enquiry. Cheers. Berni

Another way I've found that's very successful is to type the title in Google Search, Images and specify 510x680 in the exact size box. Almost always get gorgeous hi-res covers from multiple sites. copy & paste. Sometimes adding 'waterstones' after the title gives you options as well. Didn't realize there were as many people out there as picky as me!

Actually if you use the Search the Internet plugin, you can do exactly what you suggest without any typing . I have a google search setup with it with a keyboard shortcut, that does a search for the title/author of the selected book with a specific size of 510x680.

So where do I find this plug-i - And install it? My skills are pretty basic. I stumble on things by accident-lol. Always open to new suggestions and easier ways!

Fastest way is on the Preferences button, click the arrow to the right of it and choose "Get plugins to enhance calibre". Or use Preferences -> Plugins -> Get new plugins (same thing).

Choose "Search the Internet" from the list of plugins, click Install button. Make sure you select all the toolbars/context menus that you want the menu option to appear on and confirm all the dailogs. Close and restart calibre, and the plugin should now be available on your toolbar/menu wherever you placed it.

More information on the plugin itself can be found in the Plugins subforum on the first post of the Search the Internet thread. You will want to use the "Configure plugin..." menu option to setup which websites you want to have appear on your right-click menu, you can rearrange them however you want or add your own, see the screenshots.

Specifically for google images I included a default search setup within the plugin for images larger than 400x300. However if you either add a new entry or replace that one with the url below then that will give you 510x680 for the title/author of the currently selected book...
