Yes, the source code on that site seems to be not the newest one. This is also something which fits within the comments I made above. If you see a loss of some functionality of my version of the djvu file viewer it certainly is because I had not the original source code available.
I worry that the same is true in the case of FBreader. Have you checked out the subversion version at this url:
https://pocketbook-free.svn.sourcefo...er-pocketbook/
Alternatively you might just use graynm's source code at:
http://code.google.com/p/fbreader-po...ource/checkout
This is not the sourcecode for fbreader but fbreader180 but it is in active development.

Sorry, that I couldn't be of much help.

thanks for the pointer. Wasn't aware of the sf repository. I'll try that. I'd been painfully correcting errors trying to make the earlier one compile.

I've been struggling with that codebase from sourceforge all day to get it compiling. Finally when it did compile, its now crashing when I open a book.
(in emulator. have to load it in the real device and see if it works there...).
Clearly this is not the same code PB used, since it takes so much fixing just to get it compiling. Perhaps its not upto date. It'll be great if PB exposes their FBreader code....

updated alternative djvu viewer

Please find in this post the latest djvu viewer for the 302. (At the current point in time it has even more features than the latest version for the Pro series!)

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...14&postcount=1

Changelog and comments can be found in that post as well.

I run into 2 problems with djviewer-b-0.0.3c. First is that the buttom left corner buttons change page and zoom don't work. Second, holding down in the middle of the screen doesn't open menu with all the functions(note taking, dictionaries...).

The good news that the new features seem to be great.

The good news that the new features seem to be great.
The second issue is solved in 0.0.3d (holding down not required anymore, just tap). The reason has been explained in the corresponding post. Also in my long reply a few posts above I have mentioned the whole issue of apparent lacking of features. Well, I have only one source code available which is most certainly not the latest so I have to reinvent everything what has been added by Pocketbook after the source code they have published. The apparent difference is the zoom menu. On the 15.2 version you had a fairly large selection menu. The source code for this is not available to me. The one which I used was apparently written for a different device with cursor keys. See the changelog in the post above to see what I have reinvented.

Coming to your first issue you have mention: can you please elaborate a bit on that one? Do you mean the hardware keys? What do you expect they should do?

The current mapping for the left keys is to go left and right in the quickmenu. In the zoom menu you go to the next symbol to the left or with the left top button you increase the option (zoom or column view).
In reading mode you use these buttons to go half way up the screen or down the screen. Only if you see the whole page at once you will go to the next page.

So please explain me what you expect those buttons should do. Should the left button change the zoom level? That would be very unhandy because you won't be able to go to the next screen because with the right buttons you go to the next page but not to the next screen.

Also you said that all the touchscreen functionality has been removed. This is certainly not true. So please explain in detail what you mean by that.
Thanks.

The two buttons I was talking about are the ones in the bottom left corner of the screen. The page number and zoom that you cannot click at the moment on in order to go to a page or change zoom. Take a look at the picture, it shows where they are(sorry about the logo on top of them):

The next thing is zoom, it is a bit confusing. I can only change it to zoom in but I didn't understand how to confirm it. I just pressed one of the buttons to get out of the zoom options. Maybe you could change it so that one hardware button zooms in, the other zooms out and a confirm or ok button, or the way it is in pdfviewer with several zoom option buttons(100%, 120%... custom zoom %). Then the choice between zoom and columns could be done by touch.

The other thing is that it is limited to 195% zoom max and it is a problem for scanned books. I will attach a file so that you could understand what I am talking about. This attached book has two pages on a view and when I switch to 2 columns it automatically changes to 200% zoom but if there was a need to zoom in more you can’t.

The example book

I just thought of another nice add-on for the 302:

A contact list manager/display (that can sync with some web standard)...

@prusaks, thanks for your feedback and clarifying the issue.

This problem is clearly related to the out-dated source code which is available to me. This means I haven't removed those features from the sourcecode. I could go ahead and put those features back in (and I very well may) but it is certainly not the highest priority as I would like to spend my effort not on reinventing everything but on some thing new and creative.
You know, as I do, that all of this is GPL. So PB will publish all their source code soon. Most certainly when the SDK for the Pro Series arrives, which is promised for around March.

Does this make sense to you?
