Viewing a web page in Kindle

I haven't tried this, but here is a method offered on an Italian Kindle forum:
-Create a folder in the root of your Kindle and name it something like web_pages. Place your saved HTML file there (e.g. yourpagename.html).
-Open the browser and type the following in the address line:
file:///mnt/us/web_pages/yourpagename.html

Other than converting to mobi or pdf, there are two simple options:

(1) If your html pages do not relay on images and hyperlinks, rename them to have a .txt extension and the Kindle will display them just fine, including html formatting. Use collections for a basic level of organization.

(2) Install a web server on the kindle. Will display any saved hierarchy of file including images and hyperlinks. Requires a jailbreak, the web server itself, and some way to lauch it. It is much easier than it sounds. See the developer forum for details.
