There is a TOC, but it is a non-working TOC. I downloaded both epub and mobi, and this is the case in both those formats.

Just downloaded - thanks. I've read City at World's End many times. I'm a long time SciFi fan.

Though his science is dated I agree it is a good story. The first time I read the book I had bought a copy of the paperback (I think from the local libraries used book sale) I was in my teens as I recall and the story caught my interest. It wasn't til a long time later that I found other works by him. One of the wonders of the net.

I've had it for a while but haven't read it yet. Though the science is dated, does that detract from the story too much? I guess what I'm asking is - is it just pulp fiction or is there enough in there to still make it worthwhile?

City at World's End you mean? No, it is definitely worth reading.

Yep, just as the fact that Martian Chronicles by Bradbury is still a good read even though we know there are no martians City at World's End is still very readable.
