Whew! Thanks for that. Gotta love a spell checker that can change chkdsk to inkling! I'm only offered Chomsky, kidskin, and Catskill...

Smile Difficulty connecting Kobo using Calibre

What can I say? I am so very grateful to everyone who has posted on this site - Chkdsk removed the images file, and after that it all worked out (much to my amazement). I really thought I was going to have to give up on my Kobo and just save the books which were on it for when I travelled (I read about 100 pages an hour, so when I visit family in the US and UK from Western Australia, that means a lot of books). Anyway, I think you are all brilliant and remarkably long suffering. I sincerely hope I shall not have to bother you again, but at least I know if I get into difficulties, I can rely on this forum.

Incidentally, has anyone ever had any help from Kobo Help??? They gave me two reference numbers, posted once or twice and then forgot about me. Not a good advertisement.

Once again, thank you all.

Actually, I have found that with Kobo Help you might have to go to the ZenDesk site to check the ticket. I had opened a ticket; had a # given to me but had no updates.

I went to http://kobo.zendesk.com/home and logged in and then went to the "Check Your Existing Requests" tab ( http://kobo.zendesk.com/requests ) and then selected the "View your recently solved and closed requests" option ( http://kobo.zendesk.com/requests?filter=solved ).

I live in Perth too. I feel we should be related with our names being so similar!

Thanks for that, PeterT. I've gone right off Kobo Help, but I might just chase up those queries as you suggest.
