JET BOOK MINI WOW JUST GOT IT - Page 2

Are you folks of the opinion that no additional formats will be added to the mini?

I'm interested in it because of the small size. To take in pocket or purse...much smaller or lighter than other readers or even paperbacks.

I believe the official word currently is that no they won't be adding more formats. Though to be fair with calibre you can convert any ebook that is not DRM'd to work with it.

Another small reader is the Pocketbook 360, and it does support ADE DRM.

Hi,

I just got my JBM too. From Newegg. My first experience with Newegg, is not one I hoped to repeat, but at least I got the Jetbook. It's quaint, it's green. It doesn't glitch! It even has the time... in military! I love it! I put all my scifi books on it, and thread texts. The only problem I've had (other than the shipping) is converting my other files to FB2. I've been using Calibre for a long while, but I've never had to bulk convert, and it doesn't tell me anything in the book on it. Is there someone here that can help on that one? I wanna get as many of my scifi novels on there as possible!

Yes Calibre can do a bulk convert. Select the files you want, then select the convert button.

Be warned though, if you select a lot (meaning 10+ ebooks) it will take a LONG while and it may crash during it. So if you are talking hundreds of titles, maybe select them in groups of like 20.

Calibre should ask you if you want to convert a ebook if you send it to your reader and its in the wrong format.

Calibre also just had a new version come out, so you might want to download that, it maybe be more stable when convert large batches of files.
