The issue with the Kindle DX, as mentioned above, is the lack of WiFi.

I live in Canada and I've owned the K3 and K3G. Using the "@free.kindle.com" address results in the document being "queued" for delivery via WiFi.

Reports above suggest the DX, without WiFi, simple doesn't have an "@free.kindle.com" address.

Sending to "@kindle.com" will result in the document being delivered over 3G, ONLY if the delivery charge is UNDER the delivery charge limit that you set. I set mine to "$0.00" so all documents wait in queue until transferred by USB.

Of course, on the K3, I can also receive them via WiFi.

Hi,
I'm getting my kindle 3 3g + wifi in a few weeks and I've been pulling my hair over this.
So as a canadian I will be able to send my txt file from work by email to my kindle and have it receive the file by wifi only and not have to hook up the usb? This has been tried by a canadian and confirmed! hallelujah!
Thanks,
Sylvie
Sleepless in Ontario (till I get my Kindle)
PS: Though there is still a part of me that doesn't quite believe it cause I emailed amazon.com and they said I couldn't... even when I specifically told them that it wouldn't be the 3g...

1. email my free.amazon.com email address and receive it on my K3 by wifi without incurring a charge. (receiving by the 3G does incur a charge but I didn't try it cause I'm cheap. I set my setting for personal doc charge to max of $0.00 just in case. When I am not in a wifi area it waits until I am to send it to me free on wifi.)...
See my other post above...
