I did it yesterday, and they got just what they wanted: a new livingsocial user. Haven't got a conf on the actual GC yet. I order from Amazon all.the.time, and it's almost never books!

it still shows as pending on my account, with the difference that now the last 4 digits of my credit card are on there (noticed they were not, right after I bought it).

hopefully it'll go through today.

Maybe it's taking them a few extra minutes to run over over 1.3 million credit card charges thru?

A comment to the New York Times article cited above suggested that there would be a delay as LivingSocial's computers filtered out the people who cheated and ordered more than one using more than one credit card. Just speculation, of course.
