Also, e-ink screens use no power to display an image. That's only needed to change what is shown. That's part of why the battery lasts so long.
There are videos of e-ink devices being disassembled that show that the screen will continue to show the last image loaded even as the device is taken apart around it and the screen disconnected. If you're not used that, it gets downright creepy! |
