Great idea! Another idea would be to include on paper some websites, like MR, that the buyer could go to for free books.

Thanks for the help, Bookworm_Girl!

Could I also conclude that if I purchased a Sony reader in the future and chose not to authorize it with the Sony store, then if I had the books I'd purchased on my computer, they would still read on the reader? Or would they? I'd guess they still would, since the DRM is readable on a Sony whether it's authorized or not, right? This whole DRM thing is weird.

If you want books purchased books that currently reside on your computer to read on a new Sony Reader, the new Reader would need to be authorized to your Sony/ADE account. DRM is linked at an account and all devices (computer and readers) need to be authorized to this account in order to read DRM ebooks.

I think it's helpful to sell the reader with a few free books on it. For someone new to ereaders it can be a little difficult to get up and going with it. Having books already loaded lets them navigate and figure out basic operation before trying to purchase books online.

Thanks! I appreciate all the information! I listed it without any books. With ebay's feedback system, I could get blamed if the buy ran into any issues w/not being able to open books.

Next, I'm thinking of selling my PRS 350 to buy the 650 now that Sony has them in stock.
