I was thinking the same thing. Also, I noticed on the first day I had my Nook, that mine actually refuses to charge if the battery is already over 80%, even if it's plugged in.

Do you know a widget that could estimate battery time remaining? I tried some on the market but they are not very accurate (The show like 3 days remaining!)

Widgetsoid 2.x will show percentage remaining. Will this work for you?

Thanks for the tip but what I'm looking for is a widget that could show an estimate of TIME remaining not the percentage of battery left.
Something like Batteryminder (It only shows time estimate after pressing the notification icon)

If I were to write an app for the NC that showed the remaining battery life (in time), I think I'd probably get stuck on the simple logistics of it. The application just wouldn't be capable of properly determining the battery time remaining.

Between 20% and 80%

I read a tip that these types of batteries last longest when not fully charged or discharged all the time and that the colorNook should be charged around 20% but not to charge it more than 80%.

Any thoughts?

I think that it is correct that it is better not to let them get too low. But I do not think that it is harmful to let them get full. Just based on what I have read.

I know camera users who routinely "top off" their batteries before going out shooting, even if they only took a few pictures the last time they went out. From what I've been reading here, the Nook won't charge if it's above 80%, but camera people do it all the time.
