http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/ is a great site to browse authors or titles to get a list going...

from the http://www.gnod.net/ site you can use the Map of literature http://www.gnooks.com/
which lets you look for authors similar to the name you input or find a forum or newsgroup about a particular author

http://www.cozy-mystery.com/ lets you look by theme or series/author

I really liked the Plum series and read it side by side with the Rita Mae Brown's Mrs. Murphy Cozet Mysteries as they both kind of appeared about the same time

Liz Evans' Grace Smith might be the English version of Stephanie Plum, they are humorous

I'm not an outdoors person by any means but Patrick McManus early books and Kinky Friedmans mysteries also were enjoyable

Thank you very much for all this wonderful help. I am still waiting on my Jetbook Lite, I am very excited about it. I was talking with my aunt who is a truck driver and listens to many audiobooks on the road, and she mentioned an auther named Lawrence Block and his Bernie Rhodenbarr series. She thinks I would enjoy that knowing that I am enjoying Stephine Plum from Janet Evanovich. What are your thoughts on this?

Hello - Janet Evanovich is a family favorite.

I have heard "The Spellman Files" is a series about a dysfunctional detective family in San Francisco. I just made my wife order the first one for our Kindles but I have not read it yet.

You should look for "Jasper FFord" books starting with "The Ayre Affair". Funny British humor with good characters and a fun premise.

For more serious stuff: Look for the Agent Pendergast series by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.

The Spellmans are hilarious - I've listened to the first two on audio, and have the others purchased from Audible as TBR books!

Lisa Lutz sounds like a fun auther, so I will look in to the books. Thanks everyone for being so helpful. I am so excited about my Jetbook Lite coming in the mail. I am trying to enjoy reading more and an ereader should help with that. I do not read much because of my eyes, and large print books are harder to come by in a library so this will open doors for me.

I sometimes look through:

http://www.largeprintbooks.evjoy.com/
http://www.doubledaylargeprint.com/
http://www.largeprintbooks.com/

To see what new/newer books might be out at the library...

hmm there is no filter in their search to isolate large print books
ah ok you search for large print (DOH) my local library has "Your search for "large print" found 3919 titles"

I have started the Lisa Lutz Spellman Files series. I am a little way in to the first book. So far it is very enjoyable. Thank you for this recommendation. I am using my wife's K3 right now as my Jetbook lite has not shown up yet.
