Hmm. There may be an ASTRO bug. I recreated some shortcuts and was able to replicate your error once. I deleted one of the shortcuts, re-recreated it and then was not able to replicate your shortcut failure even after trying several times with more shortcuts.

Two possiblities -- we both had brain farts and created one of the shortcuts with 'launch application' instead of 'other' (so got generic astro that opens to last folder instead of specific one -- this could happen if NC didn't register our pick correctly and we didn't notice it picked the wrong option). Or Astro has some bug that doesn't always honer the command line flag or create its specific-folder shortcut correctly.

If this happens, try deleting the shortcut that doesn't work consistently and recreate it.

I'm actually quite surprised that Astro and/or Root Explorer don't have an option to long hold a specific folder (or file for that matter) and have an option to send shortcut to desktop. In my mind, this is where it should be.

I received a response from the folks that develop Root Explorer that they will look into adding desktop shortcut ability in one of the upcoming updates.
