Or it could just be me. Sometimes GR system doesn't seem to like me.
What you could do is change the dated started, move to currently-reading, remove the date finished and read away. The move back to read and fill in the date finished.

That should work! I never bothered to change the dates before. Thanks.

What would also help is to post a thread on your reading group at Goodreads and each time add the book and page number into the thread. I'm part of a SA group and we have a reading goals area where I'll be posting mine.

I do post a thread at each of my GR groups where I do challenges, but I guess I am lazy. I want something to add them all up for me. Not that I can't add or anything I just don't feel like doing it. I will probably do it now that I am adding pages.

That way, you'd be able to see all you've read in 2011 be it new or a re-read.

Another thing you can do is start another category called re-read and put them in there as well as the other categories so you know you've re-read.

Oh yes. I have a shelf for all the books I read in 2010 and it does keep track of them. It doesn't do the pages though. I will just change the date like you suggested.

But each book should list the number of pages so you'll be able to just add them up.

They do. I am just looking for the lazy way, lol. I am in tons of challenges. 100&author challenge, 150 books, 100 books, this one, plus my monthly and quarterly challenges (like cover challenges, A-Z, etc...). I have so much to post that I wanted GR to keep track of pages for me so it would be one less thing to add up.

It's easier for me to count books than keep track of pages, so I'll be aiming for 100 in 2011.

Just finished my third book for this year bringing me to the 6% mark (including the 1826 pages I finished in 2010). If I can keep this pace up I'll hopefully be able to make the 10% mark before the end of January.

Been a while since I posted to this thread.

I just finished my 60th book bringing my page total to 25,209, so I'm finally at the halfway mark as far as pages are concerned.

Time for some thread revival.

I'm at 91 books and 38,103 pages. It looks like it's going to be tough to reach 50k by 21 December (I started a bit early ).

Anyone else still doing this?

I've finally finished adding page counts to my list of books read in 2011. Total so far is 180 books read and 60393 pages. Although I've had to estimate the page counts of some of the books.

Wow! That's impressive. I'm 8,000 pages away from my 50,000 page goal.
