Well, my parents sent me the PRS-350 a couple days ago. I LOVE IT!!! It's a lot less bulky than the REB-1100 it replaced (I can even put it in my shirt pocket!), it holds LOTS more books, the battery charge lasts longer, and it's quite readable even in the small text size (extra small is a bit much for me, though). I also like the fact that I can write notes on the screen - I used that feature in Sunday school yesterday (I have all the books of the Bible - ASV of 1911 - loaded into the reader).

My only objections are that cases are EXPENSIVE (it really should come with at least a rudimentary screen protector - I'll probably sew a fabric sleeve for it for now), and it doesn't have a backlight like the REB did. Plus, it really should come with an AC charger so you're not dependent on having a computer to charge from. But all in all, I think the positives outweigh the negatives.

Congrats!

The lack of backlighting is the idea -- makes it easier to read (with adequate lighting). Most micro USB cell phone chargers work fine with the 350 - you can generally get one online for around $10; getting a stand-alone charger unit (a "wall wart" as they're called) in which to plug your USB cable is trickier, some work, but many don't.

Found a dealer called "Gizmo Dorks" on Amazon.com. They have a charging kit that consists of a USB cable, plus a wall adapter and cigarette lighter adapter to plug the USB cable into. They also have a screen protector - not quite as good as a case (I could clip my book light to the cover of a case), but better than nothing and much cheaper.

BTW, is it normal to get an occasional ghost image of a previous page on the PRS-350? I've found that if I back up to the "ghosted" page, then go forwards again, it usually clears, but it can be a bit annoying. Is there a way to prevent it?

I have the lighted case, but I also this (I bought mine at Best Buy for $7): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000YOTGNO

I cut a piece of a shipping box to fit into the inside pocket (and covered it in black duct tape to make it pretty). It's a tight fit, but manageable, especially with the cardboard keeping the case stretched open. I insert the reader upside down with the screen toward the cardboard. That way, I have screen protection and I can sync/charge in the case.

I've had my reader since Oct. and love it. I wasn't sure if I would like the touch screen since I had the 300, but have really gotten to like it.

I had it happen once and did the same thing going back and forth with the pages to fix it.
