Sorry - it would be a stupid question to ask here (it's one of the most instantly recognisable "shapes" around), but I didn't know if DW had ever been popular in the US or not. Are you getting to see the new series, with David Tennant as the Doctor? Brilliant!

Yes, it comes on both the SciFi and the BBCA channels. I watched the old re-runs on PBS back in the 80's, but these new ones are sooooo much better than the old ones, and I loved them too. I think our "season" starts up again in the fall. I just hope it's after we get done moving, so I don't miss any episodes this season.

I'm still getting used to David Tennant, though (not that I dislike him or anything, I just really liked the way Christopher Eccleston handled the part

You have in all to look forward to, then! We're coming to the end of the 3rd series here (DT's 2nd) and there have been some absolutely wonderful stories. I'm not going to tell you what the Empire State Building was really built for

I'm sure the whole bloody season has already been documented on Wikipedia, but I studiously avoid that unless I miss an episode, so please don't tell me what the E.S. building was really built for.
