but your signature still isn't true. It isn't possible to find every title you could want in ePub.

Just check out the Amazon Exclusive publishing contracts as a case in point.
David Morrell, that book put out around Halloween by JA Konrath and some collaborating authors. I don't think Karen McQuestion's books are available yet in ePub because of the Amazon Encore contract. There was an announcement made just this week about five books being published by The Onion that will only be available on Kindle.

JMHO Erictoma but if you want to "educate" people on their choices you should probably strive a little harder for honesty.

Actually, unlike you erictoma I am a "believer" in all kinds of books. Fiction, non-fiction, history, biographies, research, young adult, college textbooks for my kids ... all of them. I may not personally read all of them, but I like having them available and affordable for those who are interested. I don't believe anybody should be limited in what literature or texts are available.

And thus, I care about the access, availability, and pricing of all kinds of books - not just those which I personally read.

Eric,

What is the purpose of your signature? It really isn't true that more books are available in ePub format than in Kindle format. If you believe that is it, could you please give a few examples?

Thanks.

You haven't figured out from his posts there is no purpose except to spread false information?

Have you even followed them?

No. Not when he posts lies.

Think of what the newbies, who don't own a book reader, or are new, would think, reading that.

Unacceptable.

Yes, I have. I believe this to be incorrect, which is why I'm asking Eric to be good enough to give us a few examples of ePub books which aren't available in Kindle format.

(shrug) I thought Amazon had the best selection of e-books out there.

I suppose I could be behind the times.

Since we're kind of near the subject, the "kcah-ing" (the opposite of hacking ) of DRM Mobi e-books by getting a PID for the Kindle--could someone refresh my memory on whether that still works? I mean, I get that it requires some computer fiddling--but it's still possible, right?

I have put this signature is response to an amazon member here who had added a wrong signature, but nobody seemed appalled by his or her false signature.
as for your question, I want to add that a lot of titles are missing in amazon bookstore, so you could not find any alternative if you owned a kindle reader.

Please correct me, I m not sure 100% but can you find this book in kindle format? :

Dark Deception: Discover the Truths About the Benefits of Sunlight Exposure
Written by Dr Joseph Mercola, Joseph Herman, Jeffry

Can you find the other Dr Joseph Mercola's ebooks in Mobi format ?

1- Prostatitis: The 60-Day Cure - eBook 21.95 US $

2 -Take Control of your Health eBook 19.97 US $

3-Prostate Health in 90 Days - eBook 16.97 US $

I m waiting your answers.
Best regards

Exemples ? Most books published by the french pubilshers You'll be having a hard time finding mobi now. The french pubishers, despite all thier stupidity toward ebook, got one thing right. They use ony one format. Well, pdf too, on some ocasion. (tech books)
If you consider only the english books, ePub / mobi it's about the same.
But add books in others languages, there, ePub wins, and with what's probably a large margin.

Probably very true. The Amazon Kindle store is primarily English although we do find some nice Spanish language titles for my High School student.

There is nothing untrue in my signature.
