3 cats here, all gifted shedders. I called to ask about that, but was told that all I needed to do was simply add a note to the online order of WOOL ALLERGY and that would do the trick. So I ordered online and it did. In case anyone wants to go that route.

I have the blue Van Gogh sky and love it. Better than the BN cover I had, better than the JAVOedge cover. Hubby has ROF in blue. Just got a great compliments on them the other day when were in a restaurant.

I told hubby I might need a NOOKcolor so I could have another Oberon cover. He rolled his eyes too, because he knows I really don't want to read off an LCD screen and that if I wanted to try a new reader, it would be a Sony 650 or 950.

I think they make Oberon's for Sony's you just have to call and ask them. At least, I know that they had a Sony cover for a while and if the dimensions have not changed they probably can make you one.

No worries. Just tell your dear hubby that the Sony 950 fits beautifully in the Oberon Kindle 2 cover. And, several people have bought an Oberon journal and then used velcro to attach the 650 inside it successfully (and securely).

Too bad they no longer make the velcro covers.

Here are some links. Pages 9 & 10 show pictures of how some people have adapted the journals with velcro.

Useful to know, thanks! Don't expect I'll end up with a Sony reader any time soon though. Maybe if prices come down at a later point. It would be a luxury purchase, just to try one, LOL! And I do already like my Nook. Trouble is, I am always curious!

I'll save some folks time scrolling around Oberon ... The Nook Color cover's retail price is $72!

Boy that's designer living! But if you have the cash go for it. Or splurge on a gift!

Luckily I had a red B&N leather cover from the regular Nook I wasn't using (I ditched it for a lighted cover) & it fits pretty well...just sticks out a teensy weensy bit at the top.

Yeh, I know, but IMHO you DO get what you pay for. The covers are very well crafted, beautiful (made to order), thick and very sturdy so the reader is EXTREMELY well protected, so they can handle shocks very well.

And they last forever. I see myself trying to figure out how to convert them into journals or the like when I get rid of various Kindles.

Finally got around to uploading pics of my Sky Dragon. Love Oberon covers!

(Oberon sent a free matching pewter dragon charm, which I attached with Swarovski crystals.)

@leday: The skin is a fabulous match for the cover! Impressive.

Thanks. I wanted to try to put something together that wasn't your average everyday run of the mill plain or boring...and I also love Dragons!
