Sorted.
Got it. Whoo hoo. Put in an SD card and formatted it on the NC. Then downloaded the app to it.
Now it works. Thanks Scion. Your vibes did it. |

Scion/Prince Hal, can you help me with this? I tried to install the file from Olivetree's website, but I get an error message. Tried to save the file to a microSD card on my laptop, but how do I install it? Does it have to be downloaded and installed to the microsd card from the nookcolor? How do I go about doing that? Sorry, just got the nookcolor last week and rooted it...still figuring things out. Thanks!!

Wow, thanks for the quick response! When I go to the webpage using the NC and click on the file, it downloads it to the NC (doesn't give me the option to save to the SD card, which I have installed). Am I missing a step somewhere?

OK, I'll try to install it so I can follow along.

Check the downloads folder for your browser. It should be there. Which one are you using?

I'm just the stock browser...I see it in the downloads, but when I click on it I get the error "Install blocked - installation of download apks is not supported". Under the NookColor Tools (after rooting) I do have the check box enabled for Allow Non-Market Apps.

Did you reboot after checking the box?

I just rebooted it again just to be safe (pressed and held the power button until it shut off). Still the same error. =( Should I try using another browser perhaps, like dolphin?

Can you move/copy the file (using a file explorer) to the SD card. I'm assuming the file is in the internal storage of the device.
Or you can hook it up to the computer and move it to the SD card. The file should be in My Files / Downloads (internal storage). |

Actually, I think it started working. I unchecked that box under Nookcolor Tools, tried to download/install it, didn't work. Then went back and checked the box, and downloaded/installed it, and it worked! Strange. Thanks so much for your help SCION!! Sorry to take so much of your time!

I just wanted to add to this thread that Olive Tree is now officially available through the Nook store so there's no need to jailbreak or root your Nook now! They just tweeted today that their new version is available on the Nook.
