I DO love my Kindle but have no idea why I would write such a thing. I don't remember posting it. I don't usually get on the internet after I take Ambien because this is the kind of thing that happens.

I did see a Nook & Sony in person yesterday but they were display models that had been played with and abused. They were dirty and some of the buttons on the Sony were messed up. They were not a good example of how they would look new. I knew this before I popped the magic pill.

I sincerely apologize to anyone I offended. I am completely mortified that I have made a fool of myself after just joining this forum.

I'm sorry, I just have to chuckle. As an Ambien user myself, I completely understand. I usually wind up shopping post-Ambien...

You should see the pretty pink laptop I ordered for myself one night...

I am really glad people understand! When I first started taking Ambien I thought someone had hacked my email account since I had ZERO recall about even being out of bed.

I have never driven anywhere .... that I know of.

I have done a fair amount of Ambien shopping myself. Thankfully nothing as pricey as a laptop.

This was my first "incident" in a few years. I have been keeping the pills in my nightstand and taking after I am already in bed so I stay out of trouble. The night I made this thread my husband had handed me one of his while I was still on the computer and I stupidly took it. Then, I forgot he gave me one and took another one of mine. Of course, being already under the influence, I didn't have the good sense to get in bed before I took it.

The original pre-edit post I put up was some kind of rambling tribute to my Kindle complete slanderous remarks about other eReaders.

I think Ambien is called stilnox in Australia. We have had some really bad things happen to people on stilnox. Think, multiple suicides, falling down stairs and dying, driving a car and killing someone. Heath Ledger. One women was found sleepwalking in her kitchen trying to disembowel herself. Another person threw themselves over the balcony.Another person shaved off all their hair. Binge eating at midnight. In the Driver case, the person was initially found not guilty, but the case was re-opened just recently.

Kinda makes crazy posts on forums seem quite minor.

Did Heath Ledger die of an accidental overdose of sleeping tablets?

Among the many pills found near the actor's body was the drug Ambien. Last week, Hollywood star Jack Nicholson said he'd warned Ledger against the sleeping pill.

"I tell people about Ambien. Somebody said: 'Take this, it's mild.' I almost drove off a cliff 50 yards from my house."

At the moment there is no evidence that Ambien played a part in Ledger's death. However, the drug has been linked with other bizarre and terrifying experiences.

Patients have reported waking up next morning with sweet wrappers in bed, kitchen worktops covered with flour and even the gas ring burning, yet with no memory of having got out of bed.

One woman gained more than 3st over seven months - she'd been sleepwalking to the fridge. Another woke up to find herself painting the front door.

Even more peculiar are the reports of "sleepdriving." There have been cases of people taking the pill then waking up in police custody wearing just their pyjamas.

Hmmm. Well, it is the Daily Mail, so bound to be sensationalist.

A class 'C' drug (UK) used recreationally as well as prescribed by health professionals. Really makes you wonder the wisdom of administering drugs to solve the symptoms rather than treating the problem itself, which seems to be the prevailing medical paradigm.

The cases I reported actually happened. Think coronial inquests, medical tribunals and court cases.

Wow! I've never taken the stuff, but I have a girlfriend that does without incident, or feeling groggy the next morning, so I always had the impression that it was mild. I'll stick to Valerian root or Benedryl.

I never feel groggy the next day. Always wide awake and refreshed like I got a good nights sleep.

I did eat a whole bag of chocolate Reisen once. For a long time I believed I had eaten the wrappers also. I found the empty bag by my bed (on the floor ) but no wrappers anywhere. I even searched the trash. Then, about a month later, I was unpacking my Christmas decorations and found all the wrappers shoved in one of the boxes!!! It would have taken quite a bit of effort to get to the box and put the wrappers in it so I must have wanted them in there really bad.

Maybe your subconscious associates Reisen with Christmas, or considers the wrappers similar to Christmas decorations? Like if they're shiny silver inside. The subconscious can be a pretty funny place sometimes.

I just bought a Panditigal Personal Ereader at Khols for $39.00 (this mis-marked it =D), and while it's no where as good as my kindle as far as functions go it will do for what I wanted it for. I am scared to carry my Kindle DXG with me I just know my kids will step on in the car or it will fall out and be lost forever. I figured that 39.00 was worth the price if that means being able to leave my most treasured ereader at home. The internet on the kindle isn't as easy to use as it is on the other reader, but I bought for reading not surfing so it doesn't bother me.

Probably something along those lines. Ambien is a hypnotic so it brings out all sort of strange stuff.

Wow, that deal can't be beat! I would have went home with it also. I am normally a very honest person, but mis-marked prices from major chains is one thing I will take advantage of. Most of them have a policy in place to sell you one of a mis-priced item before they fix it so I will happily take the discount.

You probably posted on this thread by mistake but you are certainly welcome.
