"external Micro SD Card slot" ??? Um, how can a SLOT be external?

And why only 13.5 hours battery life for a non-backlit screen?

I'll bet they go for at least $500 US also... (if they ever make it to market)

external- meaning not hidden internally behind the battery cover or some such.

Its still LCD and its using a digitizer for input- so 13 hours in a device that size is actually quite allot.

From Computerworld
"The device will be available in Taiwan later this week for the suggested retail price of NT$6,999 (US$228), Asustek executives said."

Sweet. The more ereaders, the more competition, then their prices will most likely drop.

Was just going to post this. Glad I found your post first.

The one thing they don't show in this vid is the reader app!

I hope some more vids show up soon, because this looks like a very promising device to me.

Just saw it this morning. Is is the same as in this link ?

http://www.mediaworld.it/offerte-pro...a/notebook.php

It is in Italian, sorry for that, and with only a few information.
Most important things, the price includes a rigid cover, whatever it actually is, it has wi-fi. No news on the supported formats, though.

EDIT : I had a look, the do not seem the same, on second thought they are actually a lot different. I wonder where this came from. Oh yeah, got it, it is the DR 900. It is not cheap at all, even for a 9" screen.
