Me too. I used to re-read books, but I don't have to do any more midnight desperate searches through the bookshelves to find something to read. It is all new and interesting now.

I'm not a huge fantasy reader (I read lots of different genres) but it is a set of books which I've been reading again and again since I was about 12. I like the fact that they take me a very long time to read and because they are so long and descriptive it feels like I'm almost reading them anew every couple of years.

A close second would be Journey to the Centre of the Earth by Jules Verne as I've always liked adventure books. A short read but exciting in my opinion.

Likewise, also Dune by Frank Herbert, Anne Mc Caffrey and her dragons, Thomas Covenant by Stephen Donaldson, English Classics from the Brontefamily, Russian Classics like War and Peace, Anna Karenina. But, not available for some reason, the works of Marguerite Yourcenar in French, also Victor Hugo and the works of Dürrenmatt in German.

It was a Kindle for iPhone though. And I only found the free version later.

I supposed I could have posted this in the general forum, but I wanted to hear from people in this forum. I felt it was a good question to spark conversation in this community. Since I read all the forums, I don't see the big deal.

Ivory by Mike Resnick, one of the best books I have ever read, and I have been reading for 62 years, average a book a day.

The first 2 books mentioned Neuromancer, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy are among my most often read books which I have in paper format. I don't have them on the Kindle and will not buy the Ebook version if I already have the paper. I never read outside the house so there is no need for both. My most wanted Ebook would be, and it may seem a little strange for a male, The Time Travelers Wife. I have the paperback and the Blu Ray movie (which strays from the book in many places but still enjoyable). I don't think an Ebook version has been released at least not in the UK.

I love Dune but the Kindle edition is more than the paperback. Doesn't seem right.
