I think for S&TB they invented color on "Kaleidoscope".

But true, I have always felt that The Scream and Join Hands had a very black and white feel to them, colored only by the sparks from metal on metal.

Was that mojo ever recorded? Didn't Sid leave before The Scream?

Tinderbox is my favorite, although I like pretty much everything they did. Now I'll have to get out all of their albums and listen to them, including the box set of B-sides. I remember listening to them back in the '80s and being the only person who had even heard of them in my small town. Of course, that was true of most of the music I listened to; actually, that's probably true now.

Now that the poll is ended, I can reveal I voted for A Kiss in the Dreamhouse.

When The Scream came out I was a freshman in college. I had just moved from the small town in Montana (population 2,500) I was introduced this music, and my life changed.

Gang of Four
Wire
X-Ray Spex
Crass
The slits
The Cure

Etc.

It was like I finally learned to breathe.

While all of siouxsie's albums are amazing, A Kiss in the Dreamhouse, for me encapsulated all the musical explorations they traveled in one major release.

Circle is my favorite, as a musical challenge, but Green Fingers, and She's a Carnival are great pop psychedelic songs.

Siouxsie changed my life. And I can only think for the better.

Thanks for participating in the poll!

I don't get why other people don't like The Scream? I'm pretty sure that Radiohead was referencing "Jigsaw Feeling" on In Rainbow's "Jigsaw Falling into Place," and "Metal Postcard" is based on John Heartfield's art. Edvard Munch, Anti Nazi Dada Art, what's not to love???

Well now it's popped up again...I would have voted for The Scream. Changed my view on the world of music.
