In Germany you can send back anything you bought online within 14 days. You get a refund, even for your shipping costs. This only works if the seller is also located in Germany, of course. And you don't have to give any reasons at all...

How long did you use the iliad for before returning it? Did you get it to connect to your PC - you said there was no USB connector? I thought they all came with USB connectors.

I used my Iliad for a sporadic 3 or 4 days, spent more time reading than playing. Yes I did get it to connect via usb, using a mac, as another drive.
I got it from a reseller, an excellent company with exceptional technical support.
