How long did it take?

I wonder if our Iliads passed each other in the hallway, mine coming in and yours going out...

Even better, where is the much rumored, "We feel we have development of it under control" (Nov 3, 2006), will be available with 2.9.5: field re-flash utility?

Welcome back Yokos!

Do you need a drink to wash down that sarcasm with the side of rhetorical question?

Heh, I think the taste of crow (from returning to iLiad development) probably masks it well enough.

(You know we love you, scotty1024 )

Actually I'd rather they just release a working field re-flash capability, you can keep the drink. Thanks for the offer though.

Hey, we will have a re-flash capability "soon". "sooner" or later we will get it.

["Unbrickable package" is installed & running on my iLiad. Please install it, when you hack start.sh etc. It's not to have a bricked iLiad @ home.]

Yes but that unbrickable package wouldn't have saved you last time even if you'd had it installed. It really should be described as "brick resistant".

I've prepared myself for iRex to suddenly announce there was another hardware mistake in the iLiad and they can't implement field re-flash.

Hi,

I'd like to know if the reflash package always works...

I bricked my iLiad modifying start.sh and I put the package on a CF...
I switch on holdind the connect button but nothing change...
The screen stay on loading page (the white squares ignite but at the last nothing occurs)
(Look at the third photo on this post)

No other solution to send my iLiad to Germany ?

How long that lasts ?

Many thanks for your help

Are you sure that you had requested the reflash option?

The best way to test is to have your iLiad turned off. Hold the connect button and turn your iLiad on. Keep holding the connect button for about 5 seconds, then let go. If you have the reflash package, it should look like it's starting for a second, then the screen will flash white and then reboot.

I had to try a couple of times, until the reflash did its work. Especially i had to press the connect button for very long directly AFTER i turned on the iLiad.

Have you tried to reformat the CF card? If you had a factory formatted card, the iLiad might just ignore it.
