If they drop the keyboard, add touchscreen it might be an option as the book selection is great.

I dont want the device to physically be any larger but I guess if the keyboard was of a pull-out type (I'd personally hate to lose the keyboard - typing on a touchscreen for me is useless) then a bigger screen may have slight advantages. But it's not something I'd want to pay extra for as I really like the current design.

What I can say with certainty is that I would not like a smaller e-ink screen - my PocketBook has a 5" screen and for my eyesight it isn't such a comfortable read though it's more portable.

my kindle fits in my inside coat pocket and the back pocket of my jeans with approximately 0.001mm of clearance. 7" isn't bigger enough to really make a difference, it's just big enough to make it not fit in my pocket.

7" wouldn't be big enough to make me consider an update. I don't carry my K3 around a lot, but some portability will be lost.

The samsung galaxy tab has a 7" screen and is the same size as the Kindle (side by side pics on Engadget), albeit without the keyboard.

The resolution of the tab is 1024 x 600, whereas the Kindle is 800 x 600. I think if Amazon would introduce a colour tablet, that would be the ideal size - I wouldn't want the Kindle to get any bigger.
