I have to use the stylus for dictionary tapping (rather than my oily fingers!); I don't bookmark, or make any sort of notes, very often.

Try swiping in a blank area of the screen like between paragraphs. Sometimes a slightly diagonal swipe helps too. It really seems to make a difference to me. On my 900 there are occasions where the button does not advance the page. It happens infrequently but enough to know it's not my imagination. I haven't had my 950 long enough to know if it is still a problem.

The touch-screen is really sensitive to the right-hand corner. I find that the stylus is better at bookmarking than my finger. You really have to get your finger in the corner, which is difficult if you have long fingernails. I gently tap with my nail in the corner to bookmark or also to click an "X" to close an option screen.

I'm 24, I assume w.r.t. the older eyes comment you are significantly more advanced in years. Everything in your post is just the way I'd have said it ! Interesting how some things are universal beyond age groups and geographies.
Yup, just a tad older (um, a multiple). But your observation is very true.

I also love the dictionary feature, although I need a magnifying glass to read it -- wish I could kick up that font, as well (on the bottom of the screen; it's possible to increase the size if you then go to that page of the dictionary, which is good). I would like to see a Latin dictionary included, since there are Latin phrases used in so many books -- so, I guess my wish would include the ability to look up phrases, as well.

I've now read 3 books, discarded a couple more, and downloaded yet more books to read. All in all, I'm ready for winter, curled up with my winter coverlets, reading into the night... .... even set up another reading nook in my bedroom, now that I can read again. And I see that my local library has finally gotten with the program and is offering some dandy e-books -- current, even.

If you have an ac adapter to charge via micro USB, you can still read while charging your reader through ac.

This has happened to me a few times--not enough to become annoying. Probably has happened about five times total in the last month and a half. But the reader responds quickly the second time I hit the page turn button.

Hope you enjoy your new 650 as much as I'm enjoying mine!!
