This was clearly a question about how e-ink has a negative flash when resetting the screen for the next page. Your answer was clearly misleading to a person who is unaware of how e-ink devices work.

My point is you may have made a misleading statement but I do not have to agree with it…
It wasn't misleading, she was stating that she doesn't notice it. I also don't notice the flash. Took me about 5 minutes to get used to it, other people never noticed the flash at all. Try not to lash out at established community members on your first visit to the forum, mmmkay? Oh, wait, if I put a smilie after my statement that makes it all better!

The Kindles used to turn pages a little slower as well, just slow enough that I would get into a rhythm where I'd hit the page button before I was done reading the sentence on the current page. Since the firmware upgrades it's gotten so quick that I no longer do this. Maybe the Nook's update will have a similar outcome.

Of course B&N is going to put the Nook front and center. They know that paper books are on the decline, their rents for brick and mortar stores are high, and that e-books are the wave of the future. Wisely recognizing that, they have built in Nook kiosks in their physical stores to sell their device.

Sony has a nice display in their stores for their e-readers and their staff is very knowledgable. Why? Because it is their store selling their device. It is not as prominently displayed as the Nook is at B&N because the future of Sony is not riding on the success of this one device.

E-readers are simply one more product to be sold at a Target and Best Buy and Staples. There is no reason for Target or Best Buy or Staples to go hog wild training their people on the pros and cons of different devices. Amazon does not have their own brick and mortar stores so they are never going to have the instore display and training that the Nook and Sony have.

I was not lashing out. I thought it was a really misleading answer to a fairly simple question about how e-ink screens work. The question was do Kindles have a flash of a negative image; the answer is yes but it is no big deal and does not bother you.

I does not bother me either and I have the slower Nook page turns. I joined and started posting because the information was so good on this forum, I felt the questioner was left with the impression some readers with e-ink do not have this behavior. It is not my first visit to the forum, I have been involved for a few months.

The smiley face is usually used to indicate you are not upset or angry about the opinion or remark.
So to be clear, I am not lashing out or trying to make anyone angry just responding to something I read. I think the smiley face is simpler but I wanted to make sure my statements were not taken the wrong way.
