Exclamation PRS650 and Calibre -- Can't see PDFs!

Ok --> I am new to this forum, but I just got a sony prs650 on which I plan to read many pdf files. Unfortunately, like Digger 65, I have placed the files onto my reader through Calibre but they do not display. Instead, an error message flashes with "Invalid page." I DID change the metadata for the two pdfs, which I thought was the issue. I erased both copies from the device and calibre, and added one of them again, leaving the metadata in its original format, transferred to device and got the same error message.

It is a public domain pdf that I can read on my computer. I dragged and dropped the file onto the reader disc and it opened perfectly. The problem is obviously Calibre.

Like Digger 65, I am using a Mac, powerpc G4 with Calibre 0.7.28,
OS X 10.4.11

It doesn't appear that this issue was ever resolved in this thread, or any other, before degrading into a conversation about Spelunker Today.

Please help. I would like to use calibre but if it will not display pdfs through my device then it's getting deleted.

Just for completeness, did you try turning off the PDF metadata writer plugin?

Great, thank you, I this worked. I thought I had disabled the metadata writer but apparently didn't. Look forward to trying out this software now!
