Just got a refurbished 350 last week on a sony factory outlet. I was proud owner of 505 and kindle 3. Afar from reading experience, I was quite surprised (read: disappointed) with 350's battery life.

I intended to use it during my long haul flight but failed doing so since I realized the battery completely drained before I could use it from last time I charged.

Yes, I put it on standby mode instead of completely power it off. Ever since, my 350 constantly need to be charged every 2 days, although not used.

Any chance am getting a unit with bad battery?

I think it might be a bad battery, my battery lasts about 2 weeks, even more with lighter than usual use.

update from my refurbished 350.

i tried to charge using my desktop (before that was on my dell e6400 laptop) and i had a different result. it's been a week, and the battery only decreased 1/4 from full charge.
