Curse it - you've just FORCED me to buy 15 books . I got a little carried away and bought all his books that seemed to be on special offer (4 at 87p; 11 at £2.14).

Yes. I think it's Mary Higgins Clark with him asking to be the queen. Here is another amusing video (she seems to be wearing the same outfit):

Thanks for this. I finally decided to try my luck at Parnell Hall with The Baxter Trust and am quite enjoying it. It might have even been called "The Case of the Petulant Heiress" ...

Are these are available anywhere at reasonable prices for a Sony reader?

Yes -- Barnes and Noble Nook: here's The Baxter Trust at 99¢. On his website, Parnell Hall says most (all?) of his books are now in both Kindle and Nook format. None of the titles where rights have reverted to the author have yet shown up at Kobo but the other ones are and are (mostly) priced reasonably.

Thanks but my Sony 950 won't open those B & N books because of the DRM. It says right on that web site under the "Read in seconds":

Read exclusively on these devices & apps

NOOK
NOOK Color
NOOK for iPad
NOOK for iPhone
NOOK Study

NOOK for PC
NOOK for Android
NOOK for Android (Tablet)
NOOK Kids for iPad

Only Nook apps and devices. I miss out on a lot of good deals on B & N and Amazon but I really like my Sony and wasn't aware of this problem when I purchased it. Thanks again.

You could buy from Amazon, remove the DRM, and convert to ePub with Calibre. I do that (in reverse) when I buy ePub books and want to read them on my Kindle.

The current situation on Amazon UK is that the first 13 out of the current 16 in his "Stanley Hastings" series are available, as are all 6 of his "Steve Winslow" series. However, none of the 13 books in the "Puzzle Lady" series is available.

Is this the same as it is in the US?

Do use Calibre? Once I installed the Tools plugin in calibre my B&N problem was fixed, I now buy a lot of epubs from them for my Sony. I prefer when possible to do that rather than conver mobi's to epubs.

Yes, that would work equally well. I can't buy from B&N, living in the UK.
